Documents Needed

- Direct Deposit Application form (FIN 312)
- Minutes from the last Annual General Meeting
- Constitution and bylaws or equivalent documents
- Supporting documents for application contacts and delivery emails
Eligibility
- Must be a PAC or DPAC in B.C.
- Must be a not-for-profit organization.
- Must be independent from school management.
- Membership must be open to parents or guardians of students.
- Must provide extracurricular programming for K-12 students.
Who is eligible?
- Parent Advisory Councils (PACs)
- District Parent Advisory Councils (DPACs)
- Equivalent parent support groups at public schools
- Equivalent parent support groups at group 1 or 2 independent schools
- Equivalent parent support groups at First Nation band schools
Who is not eligible
- Schools, school authorities, and educational institutions
- PACs at new schools that cannot show 12 months of program delivery in B.C.
- Organizations whose objectives or expenditures do not comply with B.C. laws and public policy
Eligible expenses
- Extracurricular student activities, events, and clubs
- Student travel and related costs within the allowed limits
- Parent information and engagement materials for DPACs
- Administrative costs for DPAC meetings and communication
- BCCPAC annual membership fees and conference-related costs

- Curriculum-based activities or classroom materials
- Fundraising activities
- Out-of-province travel without prior approval
- School facility repairs and school-responsibility items
- Scholarships, bursaries, debt payments, and donations

How to apply

Review guidelines
- Review the PAC & DPAC Grant Guidelines and the Conditions documents to confirm eligibility and understand application requirements.
- Applicants are encouraged to read both documents in full, as they contain important information about the use of grant funds and recipient responsibilities.

Check application period
- Determine when to apply: applications must be submitted between April 1 and June 30 each year.
- Late applications are highly unlikely to be funded, and notification is usually provided by September 30.

Set up BCeID access
- Ensure your organization has a Business BCeID account, or a Basic BCeID account if you choose that option.
- Business BCeID accounts allow multiple users and historical access, while Basic BCeID access is limited to the individual registrant.

Prepare documents
- Prepare the information and documents listed in the PAC/DPAC Pre-Application Checklist before starting the online form.
- Required supporting documents must be scanned and attached to the application.

Start application
- Start the online application through the Apply Now page and choose the correct form for PAC or DPAC.
- Select the appropriate link for the type of BCeID account you are using.

Submit application
- Complete the online application and attach all required supporting documentation.
- Review the form carefully before submitting, as the application can no longer be updated after submission.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed after submission and applicants are notified by email.
- Notification is usually sent by September 30.
- Late applications are unlikely to be considered and may be reviewed later depending on funding availability.
- Applicants may request reconsideration within 30 days of the decision letter.
- Reconsideration reviews whether the original assessment was handled correctly.

- Only one application may be submitted per year.
- Late applications are highly unlikely to be funded.
- Applicants must use the online application system.
- New applicants and some returning applicants must provide direct deposit information for grant funds.
