How to apply

Confirm eligibility requirements
- Verify that your organization is based in Ottawa and follows not-for-profit principles
- Ensure your organization does not have an active CEPGP project
- Review the list of ineligible groups and activities
- Confirm you can complete your project within one year

Prepare application documents
- Prepare a detailed project description and timeline
- Obtain a sketch and photos of the site if applicable
- Draft a project budget including in-kind contributions and other funding sources
- Gather a letter of consent from property owner if necessary
- Ensure project funding includes at least 33% from your own or in-kind contributions

Submit your grant application
- Complete the CEPGP online application form
- Ensure all required information and documents are included
- Submit only one application per organization per year

Wait for application review
- Your application will be reviewed by a selection committee after the deadline
- The committee will assess eligibility, completeness, environmental impact, and permissions
- You will be notified of the decision, generally within two months after the deadline

Fulfill post-approval obligations
- If awarded, provide proof of appropriate commercial general liability insurance
- Complete your project within one year and by June 30, 2026
- Submit a Project Evaluation Report as required
