Overview

Supports Canadian community climate projects with up to C$10,000 in funding. It funds innovative, participatory, equitable initiatives focused on climate mitigation and/or adaptation, from early experimentation to scaling impact.

Activities funded

  • Community-based projects that mitigate climate change.
  • Community-based projects that help communities adapt to climate change.
  • Early-stage experimentation with new climate-related approaches (Seed level).
  • Growth of promising climate-related projects (Sprouting level).
  • Scaling climate-related projects to increase policy impact, reach more people, or deepen cultural and relationship change (Scaling level).

  • The applicant must be fiscally and legally based in Canada.
  • The proposed project must be based in a Canadian province or territory.
  • The project must focus on helping communities mitigate and/or adapt to climate change.
  • The approach should be innovative, participatory, equitable, and multi-solving.
