How to apply

  • Step 1: Prepare the application
    • Complete the application package and ensure it is signed by an authorized person.
    • Include all required organization, project, financial, and support documents.
  • Step 2: Submit to the City of Cold Lake
    • Send the application package to the City of Cold Lake, attention General Manager of Community Services.
    • Submit by March 1.
  • Step 3: Review and recommendation
    • The Community Grant Advisory Committee reviews eligible applications.
    • The Committee forwards recommendations to City Council.
  • Step 4: Council decision and agreement
    • City Council considers the recommendations and selects recipients.
    • Approved applicants sign a Community Capital Project Grant Agreement.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by the Cold Lake Community Grant Advisory Committee
  • The Committee makes a recommendation to Cold Lake City Council
  • Council selects the applicants to receive funding
  • Approved applicants must sign a funding agreement before receiving funds

Additional information

  • Only one application deadline is used each year.
  • Successful applicants must sign a funding agreement with the City.
  • Final reports must be submitted within 60 days of project completion.
  • Unspent funds must be returned if the project is cancelled or not completed within two years, unless Council decides otherwise.
