  • Religious or political activities
  • Businesses requesting flow-through funding
  • Temporary, part-time, or permanent staff positions

Eligible expenses

  • Construction costs for building improvements, accessibility upgrades, and signage projects
  • Professional fees for approved project-related work
  • Permits and related application costs such as building, planning, by-law, site plan, and encroachment items
  • Landfill fees

How to apply

  • Step 1: Review program guidelines
    • Check the policy, eligibility rules, and required materials.
    • A pre-application consultation is recommended.
  • Step 2: Prepare the application
    • Complete the application form and gather supporting documents.
    • Obtain signatures from the applicant, property owner, and business owner, if required.
  • Step 3: Submit the application
    • Send the completed package by email, mail, or in person at City Hall.
    • Applications are received on a first come, first served basis.
  • Step 4: Await review and decision
    • The Subcommittee reviews the file and the City checks property standing.
    • Applicants are notified of the application status.
  • Step 5: Sign agreement and complete reporting
    • Approved applicants sign the agreement before funds are issued.
    • Submit the project summary report within 90 days after completion.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by the TSDC Subcommittee for completeness and policy compliance
  • The City reviews the subject property’s standing before a decision is made
  • Applicants are notified of the application status after review
  • Approved applicants must sign an agreement before funds are released
  • A project summary report is required within 90 days after project completion
