Who is eligible?

  • Ontario-registered medical and health care professionals.
  • Health care professionals who can show written eligibility for registration within one year.

Eligible expenses

  • Travel costs for the health care professional, including personal vehicle mileage and air travel.
  • Hotel or motel accommodation required for scheduled interviews.
  • Spouse travel and accommodation, if pre-approved in writing.
  • Gratuitous lodging up to $30 per night.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed after submission by the Northern Health Programs office.
  • Written approval must be obtained before the trip.
  • Expenses not pre-approved in writing will not be reimbursed.
  • Reimbursement claims must be submitted through the Statement of Expenses form.
