How to apply

  • Step 1: Prepare application documents
    • Gather the required documents and combine them into one PDF file.
    • Name the file according to the required format.
  • Step 2: Submit online
    • Complete the online application form.
    • Upload the PDF file through the COAL server.
    • Submit before the stated deadline.

Processing and Agreement

  • Three finalist projects are selected by a committee of professionals before the final jury
  • A jury made up of partner representatives and art/ecology figures selects the winner
  • The winning project is then awarded the residency and production grant

  • The winning project receives support for production, not full production costs.
  • The residency is hosted in one of France’s nature reserves.
  • If the winning project is led by a collective, residency conditions are reviewed separately.
