Who is eligible?
- Schools with a Woolwich address
- School groups and clubs applying on behalf of a Woolwich school
- Parent councils applying on behalf of a Woolwich school

- Projects that do not directly benefit Woolwich students
- Applicants with an overdue Climate Smart Schools Micro Grant project
- Applicants seeking support for the same project through another Township grant program

- Fees for speakers on climate action topics
- Marketing and signage materials

- Ongoing program costs and regular operating expenses

- Fundraising, donations, lobbying, political or religious activities
- Unrelated travel, memberships, vehicle costs, alcohol, land acquisition, debt repayment, and reserve funds

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed after submission by staff against the policy and available funds.
- Funding decisions are made by the Township’s approval body.
- Applicants are notified of the decision in a timely manner.

- Funding must be used within the same calendar year it is issued.
- Any unspent funds must be returned to the Township.
- Awarded projects must still be completed even if not fully funded.
- Projects may be paid by December 31 of the application year.
