Eligible expenses

  • Infrastructure and equipment for climate-resilient food systems
  • Tools and systems for sustainable growing, such as greenhouses, seed libraries, and garden boxes
  • Equipment for traditional food processing, such as smoking, canning, curing, and freeze-drying
  • Cool storage solutions, including root cellars
  • Staff time, labour, consulting, and administrative costs within program limits

  • Routine operating costs, such as utilities
  • Planning activities or community needs assessments
  • Community engagement projects that only produce a community plan
