This program funds charitable partnerships advancing climate and equity solutions, up to $52,500 per partnership. Supported work focuses on community and place-based initiatives aligned with the levers of change, such as climate resilience, inclusive adaptation, housing innovations, advocacy, or access to affordable insurance.

Documents Needed
Eligibility
- Application must be submitted as a partnership led by a registered Canadian charity.
- The partner group must include one or more registered Canadian charities and/or registered not-for-profit organizations.
- The initiative must primarily benefit vulnerable populations in the Waterloo Region, the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), and/or the Lower Mainland of Vancouver.
- The proposed work must align with one or more “levers of change” identified by the Climate and Equity Lab.

- Registered Canadian charities (as lead applicants)
- Registered Canadian charities (as partners)
- Registered not-for-profit organizations in Canada (as partners)
Who is not eligible
- Organizations that are not registered Canadian charities or registered not-for-profit organizations
- Applicants not applying as a partnership led by a registered Canadian charity

Selection criteria
How to apply
Step 1: Prepare letter of interest
- Draft a letter of interest that includes all required elements specified by the program.
- Ensure the letter is signed.
- Email the signed letter of interest to the program contact.
- Submit the letter of interest by the stated deadline (August 16, 2024).
Processing and Agreement
- Applicants can expect a decision timeline indicated as December.
Additional information
- A formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between partner organizations is not required to apply.
- Total program envelope is $250,000 for five partnerships.
- An additional Monitoring and Evaluation capacity-building component is included with each partnership award.
- Decisions are expected in December.
