Eligible expenses

  • Seed and planting costs for cover cropping, intercropping, and legume rotation
  • Price differences for nitrogen management inputs and fertilizer applications
  • Professional planning, technical support, and agronomic services
  • Equipment purchases and upgrades for manure and fertilizer application
  • Rotational grazing infrastructure and related setup costs

  • GST
  • In-kind costs
  • Practices already applied before the program period
  • Nutrients other than nitrogen
  • Mechanical or chemical cover crop termination
  • Ongoing operating costs for virtual fencing
