Who is eligible?
- Organizations registered as a society under the BC Society Act.
- Organizations registered as an association under the Cooperative Association Act.

Selection criteria
- Projects must address one or more actions in the 2022 Climate Action and Energy Plan and/or aid climate change adaptation.
- Projects must be economically beneficial, highly visible, innovative, or collaborative.
- Applicants should reflect the guiding principles of efficacy, flexibility, sustainability, transparency, high visibility, innovation, and collaboration.
- Applications are evaluated using the Terms of Reference criteria under Applicant and Project Eligibility.
How to apply
- Submit proposals online.
- Submit before the annual intake deadline of September 15.
Processing and Agreement
- Proposals are reviewed and evaluated by Environmental Advisory Committee members using the Terms of Reference evaluation criteria under Applicant and Project Eligibility.
- The Environmental Advisory Committee provides recommendations to Council for approval.
- If approved by Council, successful proponents are notified within 14 days of adoption by Council.

- Funds are dispersed once the annual financial plan is adopted by Council, usually in June.
