Who is eligible?

- For some program components, provincial, regional, or municipal governments or their departments or agencies
- For some program components, electricity or gas utilities, industry associations, research associations, Indigenous and community groups, and academic institutions
Who is not eligible
- Home-based businesses are not eligible for this program
- Crown corporations and Government ministries are ineligible for some program components
- Federal government fleets are ineligible for some program components
Eligible expenses
- Purchase and installation of eligible, new Level 2 charging equipment
- Purchase and installation of eligible DCFC charging stations
- Telematics tools for up to 12 months
- ZEV suitability assessment using data collected from telematics tools
- Engineering design services, new panels and breakers, new transformer, wiring and conduit additions, upgrades to utility service, and EV energy management system hardware and installation
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Installation of non-EV charging infrastructure
- Administration such as communication between property management and residents, copy or documentation fees
- Painting of parking area
- Taxes paid on charging station, labour, etc.
- Charging infrastructure already required under regulation, building codes, or other programs

- Fortis BC electrical service territory for fleet assessments, ZEV infrastructure assessments, and electrical infrastructure upgrades
How to apply
- Use the online application form to apply for the funding option.
- Applicants for charging infrastructure, fleet assessments, facility assessments, and electrical infrastructure upgrades must apply for pre-approval.
- After completion of the relevant work or assessment, pre-approved applicants must apply for the financial rebate using the same form they used for pre-approval.
Processing and Agreement
- Fraser Basin Council (FBC) will review the application after the stated requirements are met.
- If approved, FBC will issue an approval letter.
- For charging infrastructure, pre-approved applicants must apply for the financial rebate after installation.
- For fleet assessment and facility assessment, pre-approved applicants must submit final documentation after completion.
- For electrical infrastructure upgrades, pre-approved applicants must apply for the financial rebate after completion of the electrical work.
Additional information
- Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis until the application closes.
- Applicants must disclose if they have applied for or received Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP) funding from Natural Resources Canada or another ZEVIP delivery organization.
- Joint or multi-party submissions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- The Province continues to reserve the right to not allow stacking with any particular program.
