Who is eligible?

• Non-profit organizations
• Community organizations

Eligible expenses

• Special project and event costs, such as workshops or resource materials
• Operating costs, such as rent, utilities, and other fixed expenses
• Project or program costs for serving a specific group
• Capital costs, such as office equipment

Eligible geographic areas

• City of North Vancouver

• Evidence of need for the service or project
• Number of local residents served
• Quality of management and clarity of the proposal
• Clear goals and expected outcomes
• Support from community partners

• Step 1: Review the guidelines and checklist
  • Read the program guidelines before preparing the application.
  • Use the checklist to confirm all required forms are ready.
• Step 2: Complete the application forms
  • Fill out the Organization Summary form.
  • Complete the Operating Grant form or Program Grant form, as applicable.
  • Sign the application before submission.
• Step 3: Submit the application
  • Email the forms to CommunityGrants@cnv.org.
  • Or mail or drop off printed copies at City Hall.
  • Include two copies of all forms and documents if submitting paper copies.

• Applications are reviewed by the City of North Vancouver and assessed against the program criteria.
• Municipal Council makes the funding allocations.
• Applicants are informed through the Council allocation process.

• Applications are accepted in two rounds each year.
• Organizations may apply to the second round only for a different program if they applied in the first round.
• Applicants should review the program guidelines and checklist before submitting.
