Selection criteria

  • The Growth CIP Review Team evaluates proposals through five sections for a total of 85 points.
  • Façade Materials: 30 points.
  • Cornices: 10 points.
  • Signage: 15 points.
  • Ground Floor Windows and Doors: 15 points, scored on glass transparency, percentage of glass at ground level, and window sill line height; Lighting: 15 points, scored on front-lit signage and secondary entrance lighting.

  • Step 2: Prepare the application
    • Gather the required plans, drawings, studies, reports, and cost information.
  • Step 3: Submit before work begins
    • Submit the application to the City before starting any work and before applying for a building permit.

  • Applications are reviewed by the City as part of the incentive program process.
  • The Development Application Review Team provides immediate review and feedback before applications are made.
  • Funding is subject to project eligibility and conformity with the Community Improvement Plan.
