Who is eligible?

• Owners of residential buildings in Gatineau.
• Owners of mixed-use buildings with eligible residential space.
• Owners of buildings located in Aylmer, Hull, Gatineau, Masson-Angers, or Buckingham.

Who is not eligible

• Owners of buildings outside the eligible Gatineau sectors.
• Owners of buildings in high-risk flood zones, unless the stated exceptions apply.
• Owners of buildings in landslide restriction zones, unless the stated exceptions apply.

Eligible expenses

• Professional fees related to the project.
• Acquisition of lots, parts of lots, or servitudes necessary to complete the works.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

• Works on the non-residential portion of a mixed-use building.
• Buildings in high-risk flood zones, unless flood-proofing conditions are met.
• Buildings in landslide restriction zones, unless the regulatory conditions are lifted or the work is not subject to those restrictions.

Eligible geographic areas

• Rue du Progrès between rue de la Forteresse and the west branch of rue Laurette-Routhier, in the Masson-Angers electoral district.

• Step 1: Check sector eligibility
  • Verify that the property is located in an eligible Gatineau sector.
  • Complete the online registration form and submit it.
  • Receive an automatic confirmation of receipt.
• Step 2: Application review and wait list registration
  • The City reviews the request and checks whether all eligibility conditions are met.
  • If accepted, the building is registered on the waiting list.
  • If it cannot be registered, the City will contact the applicant.
• Step 3: File opening
  • When the applicant's turn arrives, the City contacts the owner to open the file.
  • A registration fee is required at that stage.

• Applications are reviewed after submission and accepted only if the building meets all program conditions.
• Eligible buildings are added to the waiting list in the order received.
• When the applicant's turn comes, the City contacts the owner to open the file.
• A certificate of eligibility or a municipal resolution confirms eligibility for the subsidy.

• A registration fee of $500 plus taxes is required when the file is opened.
• Funding stops once the program budget is exhausted.
