Latest change: Belleville updated the tax credits and rebates page, removing the water/wastewater credits from the senior and disability programs and revising deadlines and application instructions.
Belleville tax credit program updates
The Tax Credits and Rebates page now shows the Low Income Senior and Persons with Disabilities programs as $1,200 property tax credits only, with the water/wastewater credit and its caps removed from both programs. The annual application deadline remains Aug. 31, and the page now adds a How to Apply section directing applicants to submit in person at City Hall or online where specified. The senior application still requires applicants to be 65 or older by Dec. 31, 2025, receive the Guaranteed Income Supplement, own and occupy the property as their principal residence, and provide the 2025 T4A (OAS) statement. The charity rebate remains a 40% property tax rebate for registered charities leasing commercial or industrial space, with applications accepted Jan. 1 to Feb. 28 each year.
