Who is eligible?
- Registered non-profit organizations.
- Community non-profit organizations such as registered Alberta Societies, Charities, and Non-Profit Companies.
Who is not eligible
- Individuals.
- For-profit organizations.
- Organizations and groups not registered under one of the Acts specified in Council Policy #C52.
- Organizations with overdue or incomplete reporting related to a grant previously awarded by the City.
- Other levels of government.
Eligible expenses
- Materials and supplies for the event or project.
- Equipment purchase, lease, or rental.
- Insurance for event or project activities.
- Project-specific honorariums and wages.
- Operating expenses for organizations in their developmental stage.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Activities advancing specific political, moral, or religious points of view.
- Activities inconsistent with the City’s values or goals.
- Alcohol and related items.
- Deficit reduction funding or debt payments.
- Retroactive funding for expenses incurred before application approval.

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by the Community Services Grants team to confirm completeness and eligibility.
- Applicants may be invited to a 10-minute question and answer session with the Grant Funding Advisory Committee.
- The Grant Funding Advisory Committee makes funding recommendations.
- Applicants are notified by email if their application is recommended to Council for approval.
- Final approval is made by Beaumont City Council.
- Successful applicants enter into a funding agreement with the City of Beaumont.

- Applicants may apply to one or more grant streams, but funding can only be received once for the same project.
