  • Project or annual program expenses, including staff, artists, consultants, and honorariums
  • Venue or space rental, materials, marketing, and promotion
  • Eligible administration costs directly tied to the project
  • Commissioning costs for cultural applications
  • Travel-related costs such as mileage, accommodation, and entry fees

  • Capital expenses, including renovations and equipment
  • Operating expenses not directly related to the project
  • Deficit reduction, scholarships, conferences, training, and land or building purchases

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are first reviewed by City staff for eligibility.
  • Eligible applications are then evaluated and ranked by a committee of staff and community representatives.
  • Funding recommendations are made to Council based on available funds and ranking.
  • Council gives the final approval, and decisions are final.
  • Applicants are notified by email, and funded projects must submit a final report before the last payment.
