- A list of board members, including executives, with their contact information
- Recently approved and signed financial statements, including the most recent fiscal year financial statement with two signing authority signatures on the Statement of Financial Position
- The Application for Electronic Payment (AEP) and a void cheque
- An agreement or commitment letter confirming all collaborative partners agree with the application and may be contacted for the program evaluation survey, with all partners listed and signed by each legal signatory
- Job descriptions for any funded staff positions and quotes or sources of estimates for new costs, one-time small equipment purchases, or work completed by a contractor or external entity

Who is not eligible
- Collaborative initiatives that primarily benefit people or entities outside Alberta
- Fundraising bodies for for-profit organizations or business associations
- Collaborative initiatives with a member that has overdue or incomplete reporting on a previous ministry grant
- Municipalities, for-profit organizations, and individuals cannot serve as the fiscal agent
- Collaborative initiatives, organizations, or fiscal agents not operating within the laws of the province of Alberta

- Market research and feasibility studies
- Strategic planning
- Technology upgrades, training, and small equipment purchases
- Essential travel in Alberta, communications and marketing development, office and program supplies, salaries and other remuneration, and start-up costs for new collaboratives only

- Events, performances, festivals, celebrations, and related costs
- Start-up costs for established collaboratives only
- Debt repayment or deficit reduction
- Endowments and large capital or facility expenditures
- Costs incurred before the application date and expenses covered by other Community Grants funding

How to apply
- Read the program guidelines and the collaborative resource document.
- Register for a Front Office account at least 10 working days before the application deadline, complete the Registrant Form, select subventions communautaires, and email it to registration.cg@gov.ab.ca.
- Prepare the documents to upload in Front Office.
- Complete the funding application in Front Office and choose the Established or Start-up application type based on your collaborative capacity.
Processing and Agreement
- Program staff may contact applicants during the review process to request additional information.
- Application outcome notifications are emailed to the contacts listed in the application.
- All funding decisions are final and no appeal is considered.
- Successful applicants must complete final reporting within 24 months of the date payment is received.
Additional information
- Eligible collaborative initiatives can also receive a CIP project grant in the same fiscal year.
- Applicants may also receive funding under a CIP capital project grant or the Community Facility Improvement Program.
- The fiscal agent and members of a collaborative that receive collaborative-stream funding may also be eligible for the Individual Organizations stream if they meet the eligibility criteria.
