Eligible expenses

• Façade, signage, and building improvement work
• Accessibility and efficiency improvements
• Landscaping and parking area works
• Planning, design, architectural, and engineering services
• Municipal permit fee rebates and development charge rebates

Ineligible Costs and Activities

• Projects outside the eligible CIP project areas
• Work that does not comply with the CIP guidelines
• Costs incurred before approval, unless otherwise accepted by the Township

• Step 1: Confirm property location
  • Check that the property is within the Community Improvement Project Areas.
  • Review the CIP guidelines to identify the suitable incentive program.
• Step 2: Request the application form
  • Email the Township to request the CIP Application Form.
  • Optional: arrange a pre-consultation with Township staff.
• Step 3: Submit the application
  • Send the completed form and supporting materials to the Township by email.
  • Include project description, plans, drawings, and other relevant materials.
• Step 4: Complete the project and provide proof
  • Finish the project after approval.
  • Provide before-and-after photos and proof of costs before funds are released.

• Applications are reviewed by Township staff after submission.
• The Township may accept, request revisions, or reject applications.
• Approved projects must be completed before funds are released.
• Before payment, the Township requires before-and-after photos and proof of costs.
• Outstanding township charges must be resolved before processing and payment.

• The Township may inspect properties to verify compliance.
• Applicants may need to enter a maintenance agreement.
• Projects must be completed within one year of approval.
• Up to 50% of total grants per property may be covered, excluding some rebates.
