Who is eligible?

  • Arab directors.
  • Arab producers living in the Arab region or the diaspora.
  • Non-Arab producers applying with an Arab director.

Who is not eligible

  • AFAC board members, staff, committee members, their business partners, and family members.
  • Applicants with a current open grant.
  • Directors who already have an open AFAC grant.
  • Producers with two open grants.
  • Recipients of grants in two consecutive years, during the next two years.

Eligible expenses

  • Project-related materials, space rental, and equipment rental.
  • Fees for artistic and technical labor and collaboration.
  • Director and producer fees up to 30% of the grant amount.
  • Travel expenses linked to project implementation or research.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Retroactive support for completed projects.
  • Expenses incurred before the agreement signature date.
  • Mobility grants.

  • The Arab region.
  • The diaspora, for Arab directors and producers.
  • Projects may be implemented anywhere if they are created by Arab artists or are relevant to the Arab region.
