Application form and requirements updated
The Application Form page now shows a three-step application instead of the prior notice that applications were closed. It also adds required supplementary documents to be emailed with the application, including the signed Authorization Form, audited financial statements, the most recent financial report, a list of directors/board members and officers, and the current budget. The form also now captures project details such as sector served, beneficiaries, prior grants, project dates, and requested costs, and it states that requests for staff, daily operating expenses, and one-time special events are normally unsupported.

- Preference is given to projects that encourage more efficient use of community resources.
- Preference is given to projects aimed at developing, testing and implementing new approaches and solutions to community problems.
- Preference is given to collaborative projects with other organizations, agencies or volunteer groups to promote co-ordination, co-operation and the elimination of duplicate services.
- Preference is given to projects that promote volunteer participation and civic engagement.
- Preference is given to projects that increase organizational and community capacity building.
