Eligibility
- The applicant must be a designated charitable entity.
- The applicant must provide proof of tax-exemption status.
- The request must support a project focused on education, healthcare, or the empowerment of women and children.
- The project must align with the Congregation’s Chapter Statement priorities (responding to the cries of the poor, racial justice, and the climate crisis).

- Designated charitable organizations with tax-exempt status
- Members of the Sisters of Charity Federation
- Organizations in the Vincentian family
Selection criteria
- Alignment with education, healthcare, or the empowerment of women and children.
- Alignment with the Congregation’s priorities: responding to the cries of the poor, racial justice, and the climate crisis.
- Priority consideration for requests from areas where the Sisters serve and minister.
- Priority consideration for members of the Sisters of Charity Federation and the Vincentian family.
Processing and Agreement
- After each application deadline, submissions are reviewed by the Charity Alive Fund committee.
- Applicants are generally notified of the decision within 90 days of the application deadline.
- Successful applicants are notified by mail.
- Declined applicants are notified by email.
