Overview

The program offers up to 100 hours of technology services support and up to $10,000 in in-kind product or services. It supports eligible charities with technology projects such as building a digital workplace and accelerating cloud initiatives.

Activities funded

  • Technology projects to build a high-performing digital workplace
  • Technology projects to accelerate an organization’s cloud journey
Examples of admissible projects:

Documents Needed

  • Completed application form
  • Signed agreement
  • Supporting documents (as applicable)

Eligibility

  • Charity mission focused on advancing diversity and inclusion, responding to inequality, and/or building inclusive and engaged communities
  • Registered charity status in Canada (CRA) or the United States (501(c)(3) public charity)
  • In operation for a minimum of 4 years
  • Governance structure with at least 3 board members
  • Board and executive director/sponsor fully support the proposed project

Eligible expenses

  • In-kind technology products or services (up to the program’s maximum)
  • In-kind technology services support time provided by program volunteers (up to the program’s maximum)

Selection criteria

How to apply

Step 1: Prepare submission package
  • Complete the application.
  • Sign the agreement.
  • Gather any supporting documents.
Step 2: Submit application
  • Email the completed application, signed agreement, and supporting documents to the program inbox.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed with a decision timeline referenced in June.
  • If selected, organizations proceed under a signed agreement as part of the engagement.
  • Following implementation, organizations participate in a post-implementation survey and/or case study.

Additional information

  • Support is delivered through a pro bono engagement by a dedicated team of volunteers.
  • Selected organizations are expected to participate in a post-implementation survey and/or case study to demonstrate project impact.
  • Applications are generally considered on a yearly cycle, with decisions referenced in June.
