Documents Needed

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a legally registered not-for-profit Canadian organization.
  • For charitable contributions/donations, the applicant must be a Registered Charity with a Canada Revenue Agency registration number.
  • The program/activity must align with Merck Canada’s priority areas (health care, science education, and related community-based charitable initiatives).
  • For independent grants, the supported activity must be independent, with no involvement or participation by Merck Canada.
  • For independent grants, Merck Canada must receive nothing in return for the funding.

Who is eligible?

  • Legally registered Canadian not-for-profit organizations
  • Registered Charities in Canada (with a CRA registration number) applying for charitable contributions/donations

Who is not eligible

  • Organizations that are not Registered Charities (for charitable contributions/donations)
  • Organizations that are not legally registered not-for-profits in Canada

  • Activities where Merck Canada is involved or participates (for independent grants)
  • Requests where Merck Canada receives something in return (for independent grants)
