Eligibility
- The applicant must be a legally registered not-for-profit Canadian organization.
- For charitable contributions/donations, the applicant must be a Registered Charity with a Canada Revenue Agency registration number.
- The program/activity must align with Merck Canada’s priority areas (health care, science education, and related community-based charitable initiatives).
- For independent grants, the supported activity must be independent, with no involvement or participation by Merck Canada.
- For independent grants, Merck Canada must receive nothing in return for the funding.

- Legally registered Canadian not-for-profit organizations
- Registered Charities in Canada (with a CRA registration number) applying for charitable contributions/donations
Who is not eligible
- Organizations that are not Registered Charities (for charitable contributions/donations)
- Organizations that are not legally registered not-for-profits in Canada
