- Artists in supported disciplines such as dance, music, theatre, visual arts, literature, media arts, craft, and multi-arts

- Ad hoc groups, collectives, and organizations
- Municipalities, colleges, and universities
- Students enrolled in college or university
- Applicants who recently received the same program funding
- Arts presenters, managers, administrators, and certain post-secondary educators or researchers

- Artist or arts administrator fees
- Mentor, tutor, and specialist fees
- Tuition, registration, materials, and supplies
- Travel, accommodation, and meal allowance
- Equipment and workspace rental, plus accessibility and care-related costs
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Creating, producing, publishing, or touring artwork
- Market development, fundraising, contests, and competitions
- University or college courses
- Collaborative projects with groups or organizations
- Major capital costs, major equipment, and income tax

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed after submission in Nova
- Applicants are notified about four and a half months after the deadline
- Approved projects must finish within two years of results
- Final reporting is required in Nova

- Applicants must complete the project and submit a final report in Nova if funded.
- Significant project changes require prior approval from the program officer.
