How to apply

  • Step 1: Review program requirements
    • Check that the property and proposed improvements meet the program rules.

  • Step 2: Prepare the application

    • Include the required declaration about work orders or tax arrears.
  • Step 3: Submit the application
    • Apply online through the municipal portal.
    • Paper copies or alternative submission methods may be requested from the Clerk’s Department.
    • Submit before the advertised deadline.
  • Step 4: Wait for a decision
    • Applications are considered by Council no later than the first regular meeting of May.
    • You will be notified in writing of the decision.
  • Step 5: Complete the work and submit invoices
    • If approved, complete the project within the approved time frame.
    • Submit paid invoices to receive the grant payment.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by the Clerk’s Department and checked for outstanding work orders or tax arrears.
  • Council considers eligible applications and approves funding by resolution.
  • Applicants are notified in writing within one week of Council’s decision.
  • Successful applicants receive the approved amount by cheque after submitting paid invoices.
  • Extensions may be granted on a case-by-case basis for up to six months.
