Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Students in theological, biblical, or discipleship programs
  • Students affiliated with Evangelical Covenant Churches in Canada
  • CBC Alumni descendants in Canada or in qualifying Canadian programs

Who is not eligible

  • Applicants without the required nomination
  • Applicants whose programs do not meet the fund’s criteria
  • Immediate relatives of Awards Committee members

  • Program fit with the fund’s discipleship purpose
  • Applicant affiliation or CBC Alumni descendant status
  • Volunteer hours for students in subsequent years
  • Nomination from a qualifying pastor or council member

How to apply

  • Step 1: Review guidelines
    • Read the bursary guidelines and confirm that you qualify.
  • Step 2: Complete the forms
    • Fill out the application form in full.
    • Obtain the required nomination form.
    • Prepare the required essay and course description.
  • Step 3: Send the application
    • Email the completed documents to office@covchurch.ca.
    • Submit everything by December 8, 2025.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by an Awards Committee of at least three people.
  • Award decisions are made according to the published guidelines.
