Submit inquiry
- Submit the initial Letter of Inquiry for the foundation to review.
- Foundation staff assess the project against the funding areas, granting approach, and available resources.
- If the project is a fit, you may be invited to submit a full proposal.

Prepare proposal
- Work with the foundation to complete the proposal.
- Provide any additional information needed to ensure the application is complete.
- The process at this stage is described as highly interactive.

External review
- Submit the proposal to independent external reviewers.
- Expert feedback and comments are gathered confidentially.
- The foundation may share the feedback with you and other funders.

- The final decision is made by the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
- A decline can occur at any stage of the process.
