How to apply
- Step 1: Discuss fund objectives
- Contact the Executive Director to discuss the scope, scale, and type of fund.
- Define the preliminary purpose of the fund.
- Step 2: Draft the agreement
- Receive a draft Memorandum of Agreement from the Foundation.
- Prepare the fund terms and identify two fund representatives.
- Step 3: Finalize and sign
- Review the final draft with the Foundation.
- Obtain authorized signatures and send the signed PDF to the Foundation.
- Step 4: Fund setup
- The Foundation signs the agreement and sets up the new fund.
- The fund is then added to the Foundation’s books and donation platforms.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed through the Foundation’s fund agreement process.
- Requested disbursements must be approved by the Foundation, and in some cases Rugby Canada.
- If a request is refused, written reasons are provided.
- Fund representatives may work with the Foundation to revise the request.
- Disbursements are made only after the required request process is completed.

- Donations to the Foundation may be tax-receipted.
- Fund sponsors work under a Memorandum of Agreement.
