  • Travel, accommodation, meals, and other competition-related costs.
  • Awards, scholarships, and player assistance.
  • Capital purchases and facility-related costs for rugby projects.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Discuss fund objectives
    • Contact the Executive Director to discuss the scope, scale, and type of fund.
    • Define the preliminary purpose of the fund.
  • Step 2: Draft the agreement
    • Receive a draft Memorandum of Agreement from the Foundation.
    • Prepare the fund terms and identify two fund representatives.
  • Step 3: Finalize and sign
    • Review the final draft with the Foundation.
    • Obtain authorized signatures and send the signed PDF to the Foundation.
  • Step 4: Fund setup
    • The Foundation signs the agreement and sets up the new fund.
    • The fund is then added to the Foundation’s books and donation platforms.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed through the Foundation’s fund agreement process.
  • Requested disbursements must be approved by the Foundation, and in some cases Rugby Canada.
  • If a request is refused, written reasons are provided.
  • Fund representatives may work with the Foundation to revise the request.
  • Disbursements are made only after the required request process is completed.

Additional information

  • Donations to the Foundation may be tax-receipted.
  • Fund sponsors work under a Memorandum of Agreement.
  • The Foundation provides regular fund reporting.
