• Applicant must be a not-for-profit organization, municipality/municipal organization, or First Nation in Northern Ontario.
• Project benefits must accrue to Northern Ontario.
• Project must support growth and diversification of the tourism sector.

Who is eligible?

• Not-for-profit organizations in Northern Ontario (e.g., community economic development, Indigenous and Francophone organizations, industry and business associations, networks, alliances).
• Municipalities and municipal organizations in Northern Ontario.
• First Nations in Northern Ontario.

  • Contact a FedNor Program Officer prior to submitting an application.
• Step 2: Phase One application
  • Complete FedNor’s Phase One Application for Funding (used across FedNor programs).
• Step 3: Two-phase process
  • Follow FedNor’s two-phase application process (details referenced in the Application Guide).

• Expected results include increased access to tourism-sector investment.
• Aims to increase economic benefits of domestic and international tourism, including for underrepresented groups.
• Seeks to position Canada as a tourism destination of choice.
