- Incorporated, profit-oriented businesses in Canada.
- Canadian SME participants that are NRC IRAP clients.
Eligible expenses
- Travel and accommodations costs associated with the mission.
- Eligible activity costs related to developing a partnership with a Japanese MNE.
Selection criteria
- Preference may be given to applicants with a minimum of 10 full-time equivalent employees.
- Preference may be given to applicants that have commercialized one or more products domestically or internationally.
- Preference may be given to applicants with greater than $500,000 CAD in annual revenue.
How to apply

- Complete the Expression of Interest form provided to potentially eligible applicants.
- Provide additional information about the applicant, organization, technology, and co-innovation opportunities of interest.
Processing and Agreement
- Selected participants will be sent instructions and information about the travel reimbursement support.
- If travel advisories recommend against travel to Japan at the time of the mission, the mission may take place virtually.
