The Request for Program Information form now reflects the Aug. 1, 2026 to Jul. 31, 2027 study period, replacing the prior Aug. 1, 2025 to Jul. 31, 2026 window shown in the updated instructions. Who is eligible?
- Students with a disability recognized by the Canada Student Financial Assistance Program.
Who is not eligible
- Students in Quebec.
- Students in the Northwest Territories.
- Students in Nunavut.
- Students attending Atlantic Business College for study periods starting August 1, 2026 and after.

How to apply
- Complete your student financial assistance application and self-identify as having a disability, confirming that it impacts your studies.
- Submit the Disability Verification Form.
- If you are applying based on a learning disability diagnosis, submit Section A of the Disability Verification Form and a psychoeducational assessment.
- Submit the Program Information Form.
- Upload the completed forms and supporting documentation through gnb.ca/studentaid using Upload a Document, or send them by fax or mail to Student Financial Services.
Processing and Agreement
- Your application will not be processed until all documentation has been received.
- All documentation must be received by Student Financial Services no later than six weeks before the end date of your study period.
- If you are experiencing difficulties in obtaining the required documentation, contact Student Financial Services at 1-800-667-5626.
Additional information
- It is considered during the student aid assessment if disability information is provided.
- Support may continue for each year of study as long as eligibility is maintained.
- The amount does not change based on assessed need.
