- Students who received federal student aid for their current program at the same private, for-profit international school may still qualify until July 31, 2029.
Who is not eligible
- Students going to private, for-profit international schools are not eligible for federal funding starting August 1, 2026.
- Most full-time students going to private, for-profit schools in Canada are not eligible for the Canada Student Grant for Full-Time Students.
- Students from Nunavut, the Northwest Territories and Quebec are not eligible.
- All students attending Atlantic Business College are not eligible for new Canada Student Grants and Loans for periods of studies that start August 1, 2026 and after.
