Latest change: The program now states that most full-time students at private, for-profit schools in Canada, and students at private, for-profit international schools, are no longer eligible starting August 1, 2026, with some current students remaining eligible until July 31, 2029.
Eligibility narrowed for full-time students
The Canada Student Grant for Full-Time Students now reflects a narrower eligibility scope tied to designated schools: most full-time students at private, for-profit schools in Canada are no longer eligible, and students at private, for-profit international schools are also excluded starting August 1, 2026.
