How to apply

  • Step 1: Choose application method
    • Request a paper or online application from the Social Housing Registry.
    • Select the paper form if you need help completing it or do not use email.
    • Select the online form if you can complete electronic signatures within 24 hours.
  • Step 2: Prepare supporting information
    • Gather identification, income, rent, banking, and status information.
    • Prepare Social Insurance Numbers for household members.
    • Provide landlord information if the benefit should be paid directly to the landlord.
  • Step 3: Submit the application
    • Complete and submit the application with all required information.
    • Submit all supporting documents together with the application.
  • Step 4: Await review and decision
    • Only completed applications are reviewed.
    • Eligible recipients are contacted directly by the Ministry of Finance.
