Who is eligible?
- Individuals who were residents of Canada and lived in Alberta, Prince Edward Island, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Saskatchewan, or Newfoundland and Labrador on the first day of the payment month.
- Individuals aged at least 19 in the month before the payment month.
- Individuals under 19 who had or had previously had a spouse or common-law partner, or who were or had been the parent of a child they lived with.
Who is not eligible
- Residents of British Columbia, Nunavut, Quebec, Northwest Territories, and Yukon.
Processing and Agreement
- If the applicant was married or living common-law, the CCR was paid to the person who filed their tax return first.
- That person received the payments for all members of the household, including children.
- People enrolled in direct deposit received the CCR directly in their bank account.
- Other recipients received the rebate by cheque.
