Who is eligible?
- Incorporated, profit-oriented small or medium-sized businesses in Canada.
- Canadian SME participants who are registered NRC IRAP clients.
- Austrian applicants that meet the criteria outlined on the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) call for proposals website.

- Total project costs.
Selection criteria
- Special attention is being given to artificial intelligence.
- Preference may be given to SME applicants with a minimum of 15 full-time equivalent employees, 1 or more commercialized products, and greater than $500,000 CAD in annual revenue.
How to apply
- Canadian applicants must register using the Register button at the bottom of the page.
- Canadian applicants must submit an expression of interest form.
- Project partners must complete and submit an international consortium project proposal package through the Eureka application portal using the Austria-Canada call choice.
Processing and Agreement
- NRC IRAP will review registrations and contact applicants if more information is required.
- EOI forms will be evaluated by the applicant's NRC IRAP representative and the NRC IRAP International Office, and qualifying applicants will be invited to submit the international consortium project proposal.
- Canadian ICPP applications will be evaluated by an NRC IRAP evaluation team including the applicant's NRC IRAP representative and the NRC IRAP International Office.
- After each national funding body has evaluated the applications, a final joint project selection will be performed.
- Selected Canadian participants will proceed to the final national funding body proposal and funding agreement stage.
