How to apply

  • Step 1: Review the program and prepare your project
    • Read the program carefully before applying
    • Prepare a project for a specific residency location
    • Write a short justification for your choice of location
  • Step 2: Complete the application forms
    • Fill out the project details form
    • Fill out the personal information form
    • Attach the required supporting documents listed in the form
  • Step 3: Submit the file online
    • Submit through Mon dossier CALQ
    • If the online method is not available, send the file by WeTransfer following the form instructions
    • Do not send applications by mail
  • Step 4: Wait for the result
    • Check Mon dossier CALQ for the response if registered
    • Receive a written decision if not registered in Mon dossier CALQ

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are assessed by a jury
  • Selection is based on artistic quality, project relevance, and feasibility
  • CALQ informs applicants of the result within a maximum of eight months after the deadline
  • Successful applicants receive a notice and the grant terms and conditions
  • Decisions are final and cannot be appealed

Additional information

  • Applicants may submit up to five separate applications per CALQ fiscal year.
  • Only one application can be submitted per registration.
  • The selected artist must comply with the host organization’s conditions and rules.
  • Non-compliance with program conditions may affect future eligibility.
