- Research, rehearsal, production, and presentation costs
- Studio, workshop, equipment, and materials costs
- Travel, accommodation, and per diem expenses
- Promotion, administration, visas, and copyright-related fees

- Projects without a partner letter of interest or commitment
- Fair participation and promotional projects
- Public art projects under the government art integration decree
- Production stages of film and video projects

- Artistic quality of past work and the project’s artistic value
- Relevance of the project, team composition, and expected impact on the artist’s career
- Feasibility of the work plan and budget
- Diversity of revenue sources and strength of the presenting partner’s contribution
How to apply
- Step 1: Prepare the forms
- Complete the personal information form and the project description form.
- Sign the application forms.
- Step 2: Gather supporting documents
- Attach the required CVs, participant list, partner letter, and any co-production agreement if applicable.
- Add the required supporting materials for your discipline.
- Step 3: Submit online or by WeTransfer
- Apply through Mon dossier CALQ when available.
- If online transmission is not available, send the application by WeTransfer as instructed.
- Step 4: Follow up after submission
- Watch for the acknowledgement email.
- Check your online file for the decision if registered in Mon dossier CALQ.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are first reviewed for eligibility and program objectives
- Eligible applications are assessed by a peer jury
- The board of directors ratifies the jury’s recommendations
- Applicants receive a decision by email or in writing, around four months after submission
- If approved, the applicant receives grant terms and conditions with the award letter
Additional information
- Applicants can submit up to five applications and receive up to five grants per CALQ fiscal year.
- No more than three projects may be under review, supported, or underway at the same time.
- A grant use report must be submitted within three months after project completion.
- CALQ decisions are final and without appeal.
