Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Inuit artists.
  • First Nations artists.

Who is not eligible

  • Legally incorporated groups.
  • Projects completed as part of a diploma program.
  • Projects previously rejected by the CALQ.
  • Applicants with an overdue grant report of more than three months.

Eligible expenses

  • Applicant remuneration and participant artist fees.
  • Materials, studio, room, and equipment rental.
  • Registration, internship, transport, travel, accommodation, and per diem costs.
  • Promotion, transmission, sponsorship, and related project expenses.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Expenses already covered by another CALQ program.
  • Expenses already funded by another organization.

Eligible geographic areas

  • Québec.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by external Indigenous assessors.
  • The assessors submit recommendations to the CALQ board for approval.
  • Decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
  • The applicant is informed about one month after submission.
  • Approved applicants receive a document with the terms and conditions of the grant.

Additional information

  • Applications must be submitted online through Mon dossier CALQ.
  • A portion of the application may be presented orally or in writing.
  • The CALQ may request the jury’s general rankings after results are announced.
