Simcoe Transit Terminal public art update
The Simcoe Transit Terminal public art page now shows the community vote opening on May 8, 2026 and closing on May 25, 2026, and it states that the project is anticipated to be installed in early fall 2026. It also now shows a total project budget of $100,000 CAD inclusive of HST, with a 2-year maintenance and conservation provision, and ties the project to ICIP support. The visible contact block was reduced by removing the City Hall address, phone numbers, and general email, leaving only the program email in the body text. The public art project description and shortlisted-artist community vote content remain focused on the Simcoe Street Transit Terminal site and the exterior artwork concept.
