Activities funded
- Designing and developing skills solution concepts and preparing for potential piloting (Stream 1).
- Implementing ready-to-deliver initiatives to strengthen skills outcomes (Stream 2).
- Participating in technical assistance and documenting learning (Stream 1).
- Testing initiatives through implementation with evaluation and learning support (Stream 2).

Upskilling manufacturing workers in practical AI-enabled maintenance and quality analytics
Eligibility
- The applicant must be an institution based in Canada.
- The proposal must fit within one of the two streams: Designing Solutions or Strengthening Outcomes.
- The proposal must relate to at least one of the program focus areas (Pathways to Jobs, SME Adaptability, Tech and Automation, Inclusive Economy, or Sustainable Jobs).
- Stream 1 proposals must be at the idea/concept stage and focus on solution design and preparation for potential piloting.
- Stream 2 proposals must be ready for implementation and focus on advancing skills outcomes based on evidence of what has worked.

- Not-for-profit organizations
- Publicly funded post-secondary institutions
- Industry associations
- Professional associations
- Indigenous organizations that are a legal entity
- Municipalities or district social services administration boards
- For-profit organizations (project undertaken at cost, with no mark-ups or profit)
Who is not eligible
- Organizations not based in Canada
- For-profit organizations proposing projects with mark-ups or profit
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- For-profit projects that include mark-ups or profit.

- Canada (institutions based in Canada)
Processing and Agreement
- Proposals are reviewed after submission.
- Funding decisions are expected by the end of February 2025.
