Call for innovative projects in artificial intelligence: collaborative industrial research and support for innovative entrepreneurship

• The applicant must be a Quebec-based company.
• The call targets primarily SMEs and startups that wish to carry out an innovation project.
• The project must involve the development, commercialization or adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
• For the large-scale projects component (volet 3), the applicant must be a large company with internal R&D or production activities in Quebec and collaborate with at least one other company.
• The project must align with the objective of strengthening AI innovation and its integration into business and the economy in Quebec.

Who is eligible?

• All Quebec-based companies
• Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Quebec
• Startups in Quebec
• Large enterprises with in-house research and development or production activities in Quebec (for large-scale projects only)

Eligible geographic areas

• Businesses established and operating in the province of Quebec.

• This call for projects has ended; the last intake closed on October 15, 2023, at 4:00 p.m.
• Previous intakes covered the 2019–2020 period, during which a list of selected artificial intelligence innovation projects was published.
• The initiative aimed to contribute to positioning Québec as a leader in artificial intelligence development.
• The call specifically prioritized Québec SMEs and startups among all Québec businesses.
