Selection criteria

  • Priority is given to programs that promote sport, movement, activity, and play for youth.
  • Projects aligned with health and wellness, education, or grassroots sports are favored.
  • The scope and scale of the project or program are considered in funding decisions.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Review eligibility
    • Confirm that the organization is a CRA-registered charity operating in Southern Alberta.
    • Check that the project fits the program’s focus areas.
  • Step 2: Prepare the request
    • Complete the grant application form.
    • Gather any supporting documents required for the request.
  • Step 3: Submit the application
    • Submit the completed application through the Foundation’s application process.
  • Step 4: Follow up if needed
    • Contact the Foundation directly for requests above $100,000.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed on a quarterly basis.
  • Successful applicants are notified by June 1.
  • Approved organizations may need to complete an AGLC form.
  • Submitting a request does not guarantee funding.
