Overview of the CAE Rive-Nord — Youth strategy program

The CAE Rive-Nord Youth Strategy provides personal loans of up to $25,000 to support young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 39 in starting or expanding businesses within specific municipalities. The program aims to foster youth entrepreneurship by funding viable business projects that create jobs and contribute to local economic development.

Financing terms and conditions

  • Personal loan ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 per eligible entrepreneur.
  • A maximum of two entrepreneurs from the same company may each receive a loan.

Eligible projects & activities

  • Launching or expanding a business in the territories of Rivière-du-Nord, Argenteuil, or Mirabel RCMs, or the municipalities of Saint-Joseph-du-Lac, Oka, Saint-Placide, and Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines.
  • Developing and implementing a viable business plan by young entrepreneurs.
  • Creating new employment opportunities through business activities.
  • Operating a seasonal business that demonstrates profitability over at least six months.

Eligibility criteria of the CAE Rive-Nord — Youth strategy program

  • The business must operate in the territories of Rivière-du-Nord, Argenteuil, Mirabel RCMs, or the municipalities of Saint-Joseph-du-Lac, Oka, Saint-Placide, or Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines.
  • The entrepreneur must be the majority owner of the business or hold control via a shareholder agreement.
  • The project must demonstrate business viability with a comprehensive business plan.
  • Seasonal businesses are eligible if they can prove profitability over a minimum of six months.
  • The business must collaborate on a support plan during the first year and create net employment.

Who is eligible?

  • Businesses operating within Rivière-du-Nord, Argenteuil, and Mirabel RCMs
  • Businesses located in the municipalities of Saint-Joseph-du-Lac, Oka, Saint-Placide, and Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines
  • Seasonal businesses (with profitable activity for at least six months)
