The Business Retention and Attraction Incentive Program Policy now spells out who and what can qualify, including eligible parcels, a minimum $5,000 investment, tax-arrears exclusions, and other ineligible projects or properties. It also adds the application package and process requirements, including a pre-application consultation, permit-related conditions, review and appeal steps, and required supporting documents such as plans, photographs, and property identification. Funding terms are now set out in the policy, including a one-time $5,000 demolition grant, a 10% rebate for enhancements to existing buildings or properties, and a three-year new-build/addition rebate paid 50% in Year 1, 30% in Year 2, and 20% in Year 3.

- Any other information that may be deemed necessary by the General Manager of Planning & Development to support the application.

- Applications are reviewed by the City of Cold Lake.
- Assessment verification is required before approval.
- Funding is subject to the issuance of all required permits.
- Approved funding is disbursed after review under the program’s terms and conditions.
