- Façade and signage improvements, including repairs and replacement of storefront elements
- Accessibility upgrades such as ramps, automatic doors and accessible washrooms
- Building repairs and upgrades, including roof, structural, plumbing, electrical and energy efficiency work
- Planning and building permit fees

- Work started or completed before approval
- Applications with incomplete forms or fewer than two quotes
- Costs above the program maximums

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by municipal staff and the CIP Taskforce.
- The Taskforce makes recommendations to Council within 30 days after the application deadline.
- Council makes the final decision on approval, extensions and funding allocation.
- Approved applicants must sign a Financial Assistance Agreement.
- Funding is released on a reimbursement basis after paid invoices are submitted.

- Only one grant or loan per property is allowed within a three-year period.
- Applicants may apply for one program per property in a single application.
- Applicants may be asked to attend a pre-application meeting with municipal staff.
- All applications must include original signatures and complete supporting documents.
