Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Students residing within PEI Command.
  • Children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren of Canadian Forces or RCMP veterans.
  • First-year post-secondary students.

  • Students who are not entering their first year of post-secondary education.
  • Applicants who are not within PEI Command.
  • Applicants without a qualifying veteran family connection.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Complete the application

    • Have the application signed and dated by the applicant, parent, or sponsor.
  • Step 2: Attach required documents
    • Attach the official transcript from the last academic year.
    • Attach the summary of extracurricular and community activities on a separate page.
  • Step 3: Submit the application
    • Submit the completed application by the April 30 deadline.
    • The application may be submitted by the applicant, parent, or sponsor.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed annually in May by the Leadership and Development Committee.
  • Five successful candidates are selected from the applications received.
  • Bursary recipients are announced in June where possible.
  • Funding is conditional on attending a post-secondary institution.
