Who is eligible?

• Registered charities and qualified donees
• Non-profit organizations or societies
• Organizations applying through a registered charity partner
• Students applying for BVCF learning awards

Who is not eligible

• Organizations seeking support for direct religious activities
• Applicants for projects with core operating costs, deficits, or fundraising campaigns

Eligible expenses

• Project costs supported by BVCF, as listed in the application budget.
• Costs tied to project delivery, including supplier purchases and approved materials.
• Expenses backed by receipts dated after project approval.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

• Annual core operating expenses, salaries, and wages
• Operating or capital deficits
• Fundraising or endowment campaigns
• Direct religious activities
• Travel expenses unless essential to project delivery

Eligible geographic areas

• The BVCF area from Topley to Kitwanga, including Granisle, Houston, Telkwa, Smithers, the Hazeltons, and the Upper Skeena region.

• Applications are reviewed after submission and applicants receive a reply on the outcome.
• If approved, BVCF prepares a grant agreement for signature.
• Non-charity projects may require a partnership agreement with a registered charity.
• Final reporting is required, and BVCF may request additional receipts or invoices.

• Incomplete or late applications may not be reviewed unless approved.
• A grant agreement is signed if a project is approved.
• Applicants must recognize BVCF support as required in the agreement.
• BVCF may publicize recipients, towns, and project photos.
